In France, a new concept of closet was created and launched by Georges Guérin within the context of a master franchise. The decorative front was born. The first franchise opened in Lyons.
A multiple network strategy was developed, with merchants and professionals on the one hand (selling the brands Sogal and Kendoors) and DIY superstores on the other hand (selling the general public brands Iliko, Ykario and Keïko).
Sogal France (3 franchises) was created. 38 million euros of products were sold.
The closet production site in Gérardmer (Vosges) opened.
Établissements Sogal moved from challengers to leaders in France, with 52 % of market shares.
A second production site, specialized in fronts, was born in Bourg-Lès-Valence (Drôme).
A joint venture was formed between Établissements Sogal and NINGJI, Établissements Sogal's partner subsidiary in Guangdong province, China. NINGJI's mission is to offer our products throughout the Chinese territory thanks to a network of shops dedicated to the Sogal brand (200 outlets in 2008; more than 600 in 2010).
The Sogal Group founders sold their stakes through an LBO arrangement, introducing a new culture of shareholding into the company.
A new Executive Committee was appointed and organized around 9 main functions.
The new organization became operational and the company project called "Ambition 2014" was launched. Établissements Sogal recast the graphic identity of their brands, each one addressing a different distribution network but all sharing a common corporate identity.

Établissements Sogal created a new brand: La Manufacture d'Intérieurs. The first shop opened in November 2010 in Paris. Établissement Sogal changed shareholders as part of a second LBO; the managers got involved financially, owning 15 % of the shares altogether.

“Sogal Inside”, the semi-annual company newsletter, came out, along with a shorter, biweekly newsletter.

In June 2010, Établissements Sogal achieved a PEFC™ certification for all their ranges of products and implemented an ambitious environmental policy involving all the company's departments.
In France, Établissements Sogal have more than 550 employees, manage 5 brands and had sales of 92 million euros in 2010.
The group was reinforced thanks to the integration of the industrial site of La Réunion and to the new Sogal outlets in the island. 2011 was also the year of a new partnership in the USA and of the exhibition concept overhaul for the different brands belonging to Établissements Sogal. NINGJI was floated on the Shenzhen stock market, enabling our partner in China to start a second phase of development.

Établissements Sogal celebrated their 30 years of existence. On that occasion, an annual sports challenge embodying the company's values was set to the voluntary employees representing the different departments of the group. In 2011, this challenge took the form of an Alpine skiing course on the Chamonix – Zermatt Haute Route, a mythical itinerary. This event was broadcast live on a webpage dedicated to it, available to all the employees and partners of the group.

All the teams worked together during seminars and workshops to redefine the company's values. The values chosen to embody Établissements Sogal are Innovation, Confidence and Commitment.

"Établissements Sogal Formation", the company's training centre, was created.

The internal information channel was launched. It is broadcast on specific screens in all the sites of the Group.

The "Confidence and Sustainability" internal project was launched. Exchange groups were created among employees of the Group so that the human capital of the company is fully involved and taken into account. All the employees participated in the launch of the workshops in March 2011.

Établissements Sogal formed a partnership with fashion designer Olivier LAPIDUS and borrowed his stamp to sign the artistic universe of their brands.
La Manufacture d'Intérieurs becomes Sogal Paris, up-market brand, with exclusive closets designed by Olivier Lapidus. A new showroom opens in march 2012, Rue La Boétie, Paris, France.
